Canoeing is a flagship activity in the Dordogne, even symbol of outdoor adventures. If the river descents are very well known, Lake Rouffiac offers a gentler and equally pleasant approach. Here, we embark from the nautical base of the site, without power and without the crowd of white water courses. We move at our own pace, in a place surrounded by forest and where everyone can fully enjoy the moment. This peaceful environment is particularly appreciated by families and groups of friends.

    Program activity

    Your outing begins at the nautical pontoon, located to the left of the beach, a few steps from the swimming areas. The team on site gives you a life jacket as well as the paddle adapted to your boat. You then choose your canoe-kayak. Once on the water, you move in total freedom over the entire lake.

    This configuration makes Lake Rouffiac a perfect place to learn without pressure. Those who are new to the discipline appreciate the lack of electricity, while regulars can focus on technique and enjoy the scenery.

    • Access: free on reservation and groups
    • Departure and arrival: dock to the left of the beach
    • Age: from 8 years old with obligation to know how to swim – Minors must be accompanied by an adult
    • Level: accessible to all
    • Recommended outfit: water-friendly clothing and sneakers
    • Equipment provided: paddle, canoe-kayak and mandatory life jacket
